A few days ago, I was flicking through social media and messages sent to JBD Travel of people who was interested in travelling for so many different purposes and one message caught my eye, it said “What is the best country to travel to?”, so I pondered over this question for some time.

It made me look at so many of my clients who have travelled for leisure and work.

These are just a few of the clients that lived out their dreams for so many different purposes and all needed our services to obtain their visa’s.

Some wanted to travel to see family, friends and that second honeymoon which they thought they would never get away from the children, but we at JBD Travel made them JOURNEY BEYOND DREAMS.

Where others created partnerships with new people and cultures to make opportunities grow for those that wanted to move forward and never look back on dreams. They traveled to keep the fire burning alive inside them.

As the time flew by each client worked hard and have revisited JBD Travel to show gratitude and help build on our clientele for more opportunities and visas to increase the spread of those that genuinely want to travel and work hard to see and know how big and beautiful the world is but to always know that HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS.

To answer the question early, what is the best country to travel to?

My answer simply is, start at home see your home destination know your home before you take the leap to work hard, save and explore the rest of the world, as it is not cheap to travel. Speak to JBD Travel and we will help you plan out your trip and let you understand how much budget you will need to afford a holiday or even to work abroad. (1) Ireland

2) Romania

These are a few ways to enter Romania, you can work, tour or just live as a residence via a family member of an EU citizen/non-EU citizen. It is important that you are able to understand your purpose to travel and if it is for Tour then know the country you are looking to visit and understand the cities within a country and how each city can bring you a strong purpose to travel to Romania for example we hard a applicant who did his research and contacted us to see the place where Kwame Nkrumah died in Bucharest to learn why he was here in Bucharest in Exile and to learn more about his leaders of his country. We also had many applicants that wanted to work as a factory worker a shop attendant and on a construction site.

We are also ourselves as the directors of JBD Travel lived and worked in Romania as a teacher and a freight Forwarder to help establish some more connections within our future and work experience by obtaining our residency in Romania to work up to 5 years as a legal citizen of the country while keeping our own citizenship as a British and a Ghanaian.

An opportunity to work in Romania is a delivery job which has helped us bring a few more employees into the country on a one-year contract to do the below job with a competitive salary.

Please see work in Romania page for more information. (link to page)

Just a few places to visit in Bucharest.

3.United Kingdom

When applying for a visa in United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, it is important to understand the requirements in place to ensure your visa is granted. As we all know since BREXIT, UK has really improved on the borders, to ensure that travel to and from the UK is only to benefit the country in terms of Tourism, Employment (Medical, IT or Government based work) and Study with fees paid.

If you are applying for a visa and cannot prove a legitimate reason to travel to the UK it will be REFUSED under different sections of the eligibility criteria. JBD Travel will take your application for you and analyse the requirements that you will need to be granted your visa and advice you on when it is best for you to apply and how you can work on your circumstances to ensure you are granted the VISA.

As you can see below our client from China a Ghanaian citizen asked to travel to visit his childhood friend in London-Coventry and we analysed all to ensure he was granted.

Some places of interest in December in the UK are as follows.

• Tower Bridge, London

• London Bridge

• Harrods, Selfridges and Primark

• Winter Wonderland Hyde Park

• Oxford Street

• London December Lights

• Trafalgar Square

• Buckingham Palace

• Westminster Abbey and Big Ben

Just a few places of interest to visit around London and being able to walk from one place to the other on a walking tour with JBD Travel.

When touring London, a great starting point for you would be Leicester Square in the centre of all locations around London.

It was an opportunity to shop in some children souvenir shops for those loved ones, purchasing chocolate to Lego store and observing the displays in store.

Theatre central to book your tickets to all productions up the west end. Some great shows to see being up the west end for many years are, Les Miserables, Mamma Mia, Phantom of the Opera, Lion King and many more.

As you make your way through Leicester Square you will take a turn down towards Soho (Chinatown) and see how the whole town has been created into a small community to make the Asian community feel welcome into the UK and for anyone to explore a variety of Asian foods.

Stop off and grab some lunch in a local Chinese restaurant with some traditional food.

Now we started to head towards Trafalgar Square on the way there we stopped of at the National Portrait Gallery to admire some of the artworks over the years.

Trafalgar Square has so much history from the Battle of Trafalgar and having Nelson Column in the centre of the square surrounded by Lions and many plinths with different famous statues.

As we cross the road to head towards Buckingham palace, we notice a London Tour bus that you can join to take you to all the famous sites.

Buckingham Palace is home to the King of the UK (King Charles III) and before him so many great leaders of the Monarchy never forgetting the late Queen Elizabeth II.

As we head towards the Gates of the Palace it gives a great photo opportunity to see exactly where they reside and to see if the flag is raised to know whether they are home or not.

Some more Iconic pictures when in London are a necessity.

Big Ben is such a well-known clock tower but those only know the truth about the tower that it was renamed the Elizabeth Clock Tower and the bell inside is called Big Ben after the person who created the Bell. It is historically a famous bell that will give the time and is nearly always accurate except the couple of times it has gone down.

London eye is a wheel with all the sites of London as you jump aboard you will have panoramic views.

Parliament Square is the home to Nelson Mandela statue where you can reach up and hold his hand out of respect.

The great children song as it goes London Bridge is falling down but just to make you aware it is not actually the bridge we all believe it is actually called Tower Bridge as London bridge is the next bridge on with no decoration.

4.Ghana

When planning your trip to Ghana, it is important that you know that you will need to apply for a Visa. The process is very similar to most African countries that you are looking to travel to. If you have a purpose to travel to Ghana you will be granted a visa for the length of time you wish to stay for, you can now also apply for a visa on arrival in Ghana which has made the process a lot smoother for those that are travelling to Ghana a lot more often due to work or family.

Below I will show you an image of the two types of visas you can apply for and the journey I went through to get my visa and my travels throughout Ghana.

On the Arrival at Kotoka International Airport we collected our suitcases and made our way back home to our house in Ofaakor, Ghana. The journey was to pick a Taxi at the airport now with a little guidance it is important you are careful what taxi you collect as some people will guide you, but you need to make sure they are running their metre and have a name badge showing the ID of who is driving you to your destination. If you have internet access, then put the location in to Google Maps so you can make sure he is going the correct way.

As we made our journey to our accommodation to be back with our family and friends in Ghana, we stopped off at so many different places to visit over the weeks we was in Ghana.

A nice place to visit is Akuma Village for a local Beachside place to relax in the sun.

In Accra you have several Beaches to visit from Kokrobite, Bojo, Leisure Beach and so many more situated all along the coastline.

Take a step to Kokrobite Beach and choose from several activities watching the performers do acrobatics and also bring creatures for you to hold for photo opportunities or even take a romantic horse ride down the beach.

If you have time on your journeys take a trip to Eastern region and see the famous Umbrella Rock and take a trip to the waterfalls too.

When looking for those beautiful gifts for those you love and want to bring home, head to Art Centre in Accra and see all the available prints to wrap your hair or wear and also artifacts of all shapes and sizes.

When your feeling adventurous then head to the Go-Kart park near Bojo Beach and take a leap and race to the winning spot.

You can even visit Tayiba Gardens in Accra, it has adventure for all the family from a stroll through the woods to a restaurant and activity playground to a treetop climb all in one park.

If you are looking to travel and head towards Aqua Safari in Ghana you can take a spin on the Lake with the available Jet ski and even just take a boat ride along the lake.

So I can see the time in Ghana can be full of fun and so many opportunities to see what Ghana has to offer but a great way to end your trip is to joining friends and family and sit and enjoy good food and help those prepare the local delicassee “FUFU”.

Thank you for visiting Ghana.

These are just a few places you can visit in the world. Let us at JBD Travel help you obtain your dream to JOURNEY BEYOND DREAMS!
